In January it was time again. After almost a year I'm back to New flown to York to see friends and family to celebrate with them and the Quadrille Ball at the Plaza Hotel to witness. This ball has this year celebrated 50 years of existence. One more reason to participate, but more on that later ...
First, I want to give you some impressions of the days before the Q-ball. I was very happy that I could not live alone this trip, but I accompanied a dear friend has. Thus, I could show her a little of "my" New York and we were able to discover in the new city.
After our direct flight from Hamburg to Newark and the subsequent train ride to Manhattan, it was first time in the T-point to face telephone card recharge ... communication is just everything.
Rachel, who was our host for the first few nights, had to work even more so, we've beaten us the time in a diner around the ears before and Gautam has led straight to the Legendary JTB on the 2nd Ave. The JTB is the "neighborhood bar" of my friends in NY, even if they do not live in the neighborhood. What we have then performed the solemn transfer of the sweet gifts.
Gautam were visibly delighted with the 5KG Nutella and Rachel had their hands full. Then hatten wir noch ein paar Stunden um uns zu aklimatisieren, bevor es dann zu Julia Geburtstag ging. Ein Großteil meiner Freune waren da und das Wiedersehen viel sehr herzlich und überschwänglich aus. Aber der Abend sollte sollte jäh zu ende sein, der Flug forderte seinen verdienten Tribut und wir gingen müde in Richtung Rachels Appartment... es war schön wieder in NY zu sein... ich war glücklich !
